The WASPI women are trying very hard to get a fair compensation that they truly deserve but the question is how much compensation will WASPI get?
As per the latest WASPI updates and news, the WASPI women, who are eligible, are likely to get compensation between £1,000 and £2,950.
But when? The date for the compensation has not yet been declared. Rishu Sunak has announced the general elections in July which will again push the date forward.
How Much Compensation will WASPI Get?
As per the report of PHSO, the WASPI compensation amount is decided between £1,000 and £2,950.
As per a recent statement by Rachel Reeves, there is no compensation set aside for the WASPI women.
In an interview, the WASPI women said they all felt “appalled, shocked, and betrayed” after the statement given by Rachel Reeves.
WASPI Compensation Update
Earlier this week, Ms. Reeves told a journalist in Edinburgh, “I have not set out any money for this”, however, she told that she does recognize the injustice.
She added that the party has not included anything related to compensation in the manifesto.
She told, “There are lots of things that a Labour government might like to do, but the state of the public finances and the dire need for our public services means that we won’t be able to do everything that we might like to do.”
One of the WASPI women said the statement of Ms. Reeves was a “scandalous injustice”.
There are a lot of WASPI women who are facing this issue and want justice & fair compensation for the “maladministration”.
The chair of WASPI Angela Madden wrote a letter to Ms. Reeves to remind her about the report and the promises the ministers have made while clicking pictures with the WASPI women.
